Álvaro Castro González will be returning to Spain following his successful four month postdoctoral fellowship with the social robotics lab at Yale. During his time here, he has been a great support to the lab and the lead in the set-up and inaugural operation of the Baxter robot. We are honored to have had the opportunity to work with him and we look forward to continued and future collaborations.
Álvaro is returning to Madrid where he is a member of the Robotics Lab Research Group and Assistant Professor at the Department of Systems Engineering and Automation of the Carlos III University of Madrid. His current research focuses on personal and social robots, human–robot interaction, decision making systems, autonomy, artificial emotions, and motivations on robots.
