On October 21st, professors Brian Scassellati and Justine Cassell from Carnegie Mellon University will host aworkshop entitled “Better Together: An NSF Workshop on Embodied Conversational Agents and Human–Robot Interaction.” This two day workshop held in Boulder Colorado will bring together researchers from around the world to discuss grand challenges common to both human–robot interaction and embodied conversational agents, identify areas for productive collaboration, and develop a roadmap for a shared research agenda at the intersection of both fields.
