A great part of our team went to Los Angeles last week to attend a 3-day SAR Technical Workshop hosted by the Interaction Lab at University of Southern California.
Graduate students and postdocs from the NSF Expedition in Socially Assistive Robotics consortium (Yale, USC, MIT and Stanford) participated in this workshop that had three main goals:
- Develop standards that provide a common foundation across institutions
- Encourage sharing and collaboration among the graduate students and postdocs
- Create common tools to be used in upcoming experiments
